The AGILE Project has marked a significant milestone with the successful launch of the Second Chance component in Katsina State, aimed at providing educational opportunities to those who have missed out on formal education, particularly girls and young women.
As part of this initiative, a training program for enumerators was conducted to prepare for a Micro Assessment of Educational Gap. This training is crucial as it equips enumerators with the skills and knowledge needed for thorough and accurate data collection, which will be instrumental in identifying educational disparities at the grassroots level. The data collected will inform targeted interventions to enhance access, quality, and equity in education across the region.
The training sessions featured a diverse group of participants, including prospective enumerators, data analysts, and project coordinators. Interactive workshops covered essential topics such as data collection methods, ethical considerations, and the use of digital tools for data entry and analysis.
Participants expressed enthusiasm for the training, recognizing its importance in ensuring data accuracy and reliability. Musa Abubakar, a local enumerator, shared, “This training has provided us with the essential tools and knowledge to accurately assess the educational needs in our communities. We are now better prepared to gather the data that will drive impactful educational initiatives.”
The Second Chance component is expected to transform the educational prospects of many individuals in Katsina State. By offering a pathway for those left behind, the AGILE Project aims to foster a more inclusive and prosperous future for all.
