Adolescent Girls’ Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) Project in partnership with the Katsina State Ministry of Education, proudly announces the state-level rollout of the AGILE Games 2025, as part of its preparations to represent the state at the national event.
AGILE Games is a flagship initiative of the AGILE Project, designed to harness the talents, creativity, intellect, and entrepreneurial spirit of adolescent girls and boys across Nigeria’s AGILE-implementing states. The Games are being organized across 88 participating secondary schools and include the following categories:
– Digital Literacy: Creating AGILE-themed multimedia content
– Painting, Essay & Short Stories: Highlighting creativity and expression through arts and writing
– Debate & Poetry Out Loud: Building advocacy, public speaking, and confidence
– Spelling Bee: Testing academic excellence with 50 students per state advancing to the national level
– Environment & Entrepreneurship: ‘Waste to Wealth’ business plan presentations addressing climate change and sustainability
– Team Sports: Volleyball (separate Boys & Girls) and Basketball (separate Boys & Girls), promoting teamwork and discipline
Top-performing students and teams from each category will be selected to represent Katsina State at the AGILE Games National Finals in Abuja, alongside other AGILE states – Borno, Ekiti, Kaduna, Kano, Kebbi and Plateau.
Katsina State is committed to ensuring that every participating girl is prepared, supported, and celebrated, as they take bold steps toward representing the state with pride, excellence, and integrity.
