As part implementation of the AGILE Project in Katsina State and final lap for kickstarting the new constructions, the project sensitizes 1,045 skilled and unskilled workers on GBV related issue. The objective is to ensure benefiting communities are free from all forms of social challenges in the course of constructing the new schools. Additionally the Labour law is being triggered for unskilled Labourers to know thier rights and rights of other co-workers at the sites.
Already construction firms are aware of all rights of skilled and unskilled Labourers including prompt payments of entitlements without waiting for next and subsequent advance payments from the project. Local food vendors shall also not be subjected to delayed payments for food supplied to the Labourers. The project shall ensure strict compliance to rules of engagement during the construction works.
