In a significant step towards fostering collaboration and promoting community engagement, the AGILE Project team embarked on an advocacy visit to the revered Emir of Katsina, His Royal Highness (HRH) Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman CON. The visit aimed to create awareness about the project’s objectives, seek the Emir’s support, and explore avenues for mutual cooperation in the pursuit of the project objectives.
Led by the State Project Coordinator Mal. Mustapha Shehu Ph.D, the advocacy visit to the Emir of Katsina was an opportunity to highlight the project’s vision and seek support from the respected the figure who wields significant influence within the state. The delegation was warmly received by His Royal Highness, who expressed keen interest in the project and its potentials to bring about positive change.
During the visit, the team presented an overview of the Project, emphasizing its commitment to the Educational opportunities of particular the Adolescent Girls.
The Emir commended the team’s efforts to address pressing issues that affect the people of Katsina as a whole. The Emir expressed his willingness to lend his support and influence towards the success of the project in the State. He emphasized the importance of community involvement, urging the team to engage local leaders, traditional institutions, and grassroots organizations to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness in the project implementation.
The advocacy visit to the Emir of Katsina marked an important milestone for the Project. The support and endorsement of the Emir will undoubtedly enhance the project’s credibility, attract more stakeholders, and pave the way for collaborative partnerships that will drive sustainability and development of Education in the State.
