The Katsina State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, in collaboration with the AGILE Project, successfully hosted the Inception Meeting for the Annual Education Sector Performance Review (AESPR) 2023/2024 Academic Session.
The meeting, held on February 26, 2025, brought together key stakeholders, including government agencies, development partners, education professionals, and consultants, to lay the groundwork for a comprehensive review of the state’s education sector.

Key Highlights of the Meeting:
Understanding the AESPR Process – Defining the scope, objectives, and methodology of the review.
Stakeholder Engagement – Aligning government agencies, development partners, and civil society organizations to ensure a participatory process.
Data Collection & Analysis – Reviewing key indicators such as student enrollment, teacher availability, infrastructure, financing, and learning outcomes to drive data-informed decision-making.
Policy Alignment – Ensuring the AESPR findings support Katsina State’s education policies, AGILE, TESS, and SDG 4 goals.
Action Planning – Establishing timelines, work plans, and strategies for improving the quality, equity, and governance of education in Katsina State.

The AESPR will serve as a critical accountability tool, helping to assess challenges, track progress, and shape policies that will enhance education delivery, particularly for adolescent girls.
We look forward to a transparent, data-driven, and impactful AESPR process!
